Delta Force best 5.56x45mm weapons guide

Many firearms in Delta Force use 5.56×45 mm ammo, especially in mid to long-range combat situations. This guide explains all types of 5.56x45mm ammo and the weapons that use it. This article thoroughly covers 5.56x45mm weapons.

Types of 5.56x45mm ammunition

There are five types of 5.56x45mm ammunition:

1. 5.56x45mm RRLP (Limited Penetration)
2. 5.56x45mm FMJ (Full Metal Jacket)
3. 5.56x45mm M855
4. 5.56x45mm M855A1
5. 5.56x45mm M995

The first two types can be purchased from tactical warfare or auction house. While remaining three are purchased from auction house, crafted at black site workshop, or looted during matches.

M855 ammo can be traded at the Tactical Warfare Unit once you reach Operation Level 12. At Operation Level 32 and after upgrading the Black Site Workbench to Lv.3, you can use the necessary materials at the workbench to craft the higher-grade M855A1 and M995 ammo.

Damage and penetration

All types of 5.56x45mm ammo currently have a damage ratio of 100% They come with penetration levels ranging from 1 to 5 The highest grade, M995 offers strong armor penetration capabilities dealing 110% damage against ballistic vests from Lv.1 to Lv.6 5.56x45mm ammo is primarily used with some assault rifles light machine guns, and marksman rifles.

• M4A1 Assault Rifle: Range of 40 meters.

K416 and Mini-14:

Among the 8 weapons using this ammo type, the K416 Assault Rifle and Mini-14 Marksman Rifle stand out from the rest. Whereas other weapons in the same family have ranges of 40 or 55 meters, the K416 Assault Rifle has a range of 27 meters and the Mini-14 Marksman Rifle has a range of 90 meters. If you’ve stocked up on enough 5.56x45mm ammo you can equip both weapons at the same time. K416 for close or mid-range and mini-14 for long-range combat.

M16A4, AUG, and SG-552:

The M16A4 Assault Rifle, SG 552 Assault Rifle, and AUG Assault Rifle all have a range of 55 meters. The SG 552 Assault Rifle has a higher fire rate than the other two and its Handling is just as good making it a great value option Even though its damage is lower its high fire rate Stability makes it easier to handle and gives you an edge in mid to long-range combat.

M249, M4A1, CAR-15:

The M249 Light Machine Gun, M4A1 Assault Rifle, and CAR-15 Assault Rifle all have a range of 40 meters. The M249 is a light machine gun with a high fire rate of 858 rounds per minute, the highest DPS of the three weapons. This makes it an ideal mid-range combat choice whether for suppressive fire support or cutting off the enemy’s retreat.

The other two assault rifles may not pack the same punch as the M249 but with better Handling and Accuracy they’re still reliable choices for any operator. The M4A1 Assault Rifle and CAR-15 Assault Rifle both offer similar damage Armor Penetration, Handling, and Stability. However, the M4A1 Assault Rifle has a faster fire rate better damage output, and more modification options which also makes it pricier.
