Delta Force’s weapon system offers incredible depth with hundreds of attachment options and detailed calibration settings. For newcomers, this complexity can be overwhelming as you unlock new options and try to make sense of all the stats and configurations.
While many weapons can become competitive with enough time and attachments, new players often wonder which weapons to prioritize initially. This guide highlights some of the best weapons for Delta Force beginners – ones that are relatively easy to use while offering solid performance after unlocking basic attachments.
All weapons covered here unlock before player rank 10, making them accessible to newcomers. For each weapon, I’ll provide both a level 20 build and a max rank build to help guide your progression.
CAR-15: The Consistent Default Option
Many players overlook the CAR-15 as soon as they unlock something new, but this default weapon deserves attention. Its key strength is consistency – it performs reliably without requiring extensive modifications or exceptional skill.
Even for experienced players having an off day, the CAR-15 serves as a dependable fallback option.
Level 20 Build: This early configuration significantly improves recoil and handling, making it more competitive against the “sweaty” M41 users you’ll encounter.
Max Level Build (Level 47): When fully upgraded, the CAR-15 transforms into a long-range powerhouse with minimal recoil and exceptional stability. While handling takes a hit with this build, it allows you to play from safer distances while learning map layouts and game mechanics. This build is surprisingly effective even at ranges where assault rifles typically struggle – capable of challenging snipers in many situations.
SMG-45: The Close-Quarter Specialist
Unlocked at player level 5, the SMG-45 is perfect if you prefer up-close engagements. This weapon borders on meta status due to its reliability and effectiveness.
The SMG-45 delivers impressive damage output, providing excellent magazine efficiency in close quarters. After a few upgrades, it becomes viable even at medium ranges, sometimes outperforming assault rifles. As SMGs are primarily available to medic classes, this makes for an excellent choice while earning points through support play.
Level 20 Build: Even at this early stage, you can significantly improve control without sacrificing handling, giving you both SMG mobility and the range flexibility required by Delta Force’s maps.
Max Rank Build: The fully upgraded SMG-45 achieves an incredible 41× control rating across the board, making it exceptionally easy to handle. Coupled with an expanded 40-round magazine and minimal handling penalties, you get the best of both worlds – reliability at range and reactivity in close quarters. The suppressor option also enables stealthy flanking maneuvers.
QBZ-951: The Laser Beam Teacher
Available at player level 8, the QBZ-951 might be the most user-friendly weapon in the game. It features one of the most naturally controllable recoil patterns – so easy to manage that it almost aims for you.
The QBZ-951 also boasts an extended maximum damage range, combining with its laser-like accuracy to create a kill-farming machine.
Level 23 Build: This specific level is highlighted because it unlocks crucial attachments: the LCKS Sandstorm vertical compensator and X25U forward grip, which dramatically improve vertical recoil control.
Max Rank Build: The fully upgraded QBZ-951 gains access to cover rails, an improved cheek guard, enhanced forward grip, and a 60-round magazine that transforms it into a light machine gun alternative. While not boasting the highest DPS, its accuracy compensates through consistent headshots.
The QBZ-951 serves a dual purpose for new players. Beyond being effective, its simple recoil pattern lets you focus on developing crucial skills like crosshair placement and target tracking – fundamentals that transfer to other weapons as you progress.
These three weapons – the CAR-15, SMG-45, and QBZ-951 – represent excellent starting options for new Delta Force players. Each offers a different playstyle while remaining accessible and effective with minimal attachments.
As you grow more comfortable with the game’s mechanics, these weapons will continue to serve you well while helping develop the skills needed to master more complex options in Delta Force’s extensive arsenal.
